Up to Main Index Up to Journal for August, 2021 JOURNAL FOR MONDAY 9TH AUGUST, 2021 ______________________________________________________________________________ SUBJECT: Spawnable items and resets update DATE: Tue 10 Aug 03:09:05 BST 2021 I’ve just pushed out an update to the experiment branch enabling spawnable items and item resets: [Trading post] You are standing in a large trading post. The only exit is south into the street. You see a small bag here. You see an iron bound chest here. You see a small sack here. You see Hewman the trader here. You see exits: south >get bag You get a small bag. > : Time passes… : You notice a small bag you didn't see before. > The update supports the After, Jitter, Spawn and Wait attributes of Reset as well as OnReset messages. There is no support for unique items yet, give me a day or so — but people have been grumbling that I’d been dragging my heels over resets and spawning so I’m releasing this now :P The JUNK player command has been added, now you can dispose of all the items you’ll be spawning. Without support for unique items, if — for example — you junk the frog (or any mobile) it’s gone for good — or at least until the server is restarted. If you’re not happy with that just wait a few more days or so… Resets and respawning might still need a little refinement, but they seem to be working quite well.
