SUBJECT: PROTOTYPE3 released!
   DATE: Fri 16 May 22:36:27 BST 2014

So WolfMUD Wednesday happened... and I didn't touch a single line of Go code :(

Boo! Hiss! Well hold on, I was actually writing the hackiest, butt ugly bash
script I've written in a long while :) Now why would I do that? So that I can
easily make releases such as PROTOTYPE3 which is now out!

For the first time you can connect and create accounts and characters without
having to hack together your own files - yes, long over due I know :(

Hopefully with the new release script the quality of the releases will also be
improved - I've noticed a few problems with the PROTOTYPE1 and PROTOTYPE2
releases and guess I should really go back and fix them for posterity...

If anyone downloads PROTOTYPE3 and has *ANY* issues, please drop me an email
and let me know: diddymus@wolfmud.org - I'll try and help you, fix the problem
and improve things for everybody!

For PROTOTYPE4 I'm planning on sorting out a lot of the code and package
structure. Over the last two years my Go has improved - well I think it has
anyway. Working with some of the old code can be a very hard and disheartening
slog. I think this is the main reason for PROTOTYPE3 taking so long to
produce. We live, we learn, we code, we rewrite.

PROTOTYPE3 is over here: ../../../downloads/attic/PROTOTYPE3/index.html
